I personally think he's good, decent infantry capability with 8% extra damage (13% on a mountain). I think his active (if I'm correct) pairs well with his mountain since you don't have to think about sacrificing mobility to get onto a mountain tile. I think terrain actives are nice since there will be a good amount of times where just 1 action point makes the difference between attacking once or twice, and guide has the potential to save you more action points than forced march on rough terrain. With his cavalry capability you could switch an infantry for a cavalry if needed without needed to sacrifice too much damage for more coverage. I tend to think that at least 3/4 good skills makes a great general. Getting his item might be a while since you need to upgrade a general title 75 times Thats just the general His privilege is pretty much just extra help on battles if you want it, 5 drums is 19000 gold worth of drums btw His Teutonic swordsmen are good archer/castle busters (why does a two-handed axe user get a top shield perk?) the 3,99 price tag is up to you although I personally think the cheaper Saladin is better purchase if you don't already have him

Also, the new man also negates weather debuffs, which is great.

Charlemagne is worth the price. Great privilege and most importantly early access to hospitaller, one of the best units in the game. You can field them to all your generals or at least to your cavalry generals. Their healing aura is awesome!

Yeah my bad Good although Saladin is better considering he's cheaper so He's better in terms of unit strength and privilege for 1 dollar less I was gonna say he's strong as a commander but they're pretty even

Their healing aura is awesome! hospitallers damage compared to charge cav is low, their healing don't stack within a group so you only get 5% healing if you have 3 hospitallers in 1 group, not 15%. it's better to just go full templars than mixing templars with hospitallers for cav generals.

You're right, knight templars are beasts, they one shot full stacked armies in the early stages of the game. I bought Richard and Saladin too. But I like the utility of the hospitallers especially in conquests where at first I always use drums because I don't want to see a single templar die. I can't recruit them there for now. Only in the tavern where you hire your pre made generals which are expensive. (I have no plans to get Atilla) I also don't like to park them in the city to heal. Together with the tent they provide huge heals to themselves plus 5% heal to others nearby . Unfortunately my KT, mamluks and hospitallers are still not upgraded. I just updated the game yesterday (Android) . But Richard is an exemption I use 3 KT for him. Saladin 2 mamluks plus hospitaller. For Charles 2 KT and a hospitaller. Off topic, what is the highest level for skills? Is it level 4? I am new to easytech games, I play GCR too. In GCR, banner can increase general skills to level 5. I bought the blue horse item for Richard it gives 20 cav pts plus 1+ level for pike. His unique item (lvl 6 now) gives also 1+ level for that skill. It only shows lvl 4. Is this a bug? Or level 4 is the cap

It’s a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. We've been at war for 92% of our history I think we would know our fair share of epic war games
