Any eco-friendly tips on how to keep track of various on-going tasks or something like a reminder / progress tracker found in games to remind you of incomplete tasks? Due to the hot weather where I am from, I placed a cup of water in the freezer for it to cool my drink down. I planned to shower and drink it afterwards. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I couldn't shower immediately, got sidetracked and forgot that I had left the cup in the freezer until nearly a full day later. I usually write and put a bookmark in books that I am committed to reading that day. You can get like a hundred for three bucks and it's nice as a reminder.

Yeah, but it seems that "out of sight, out of mind" works exceptionally well and once sent into the background, it's not easy to recall things.

Fought Hastings as the English to a standstill. Beating all commanders by turn 20 is not an issue. Winning is and it is insane to make your "secondary" objective, seizing the only enemy province/city of Hastings, a necessary step for your primary objective which is to eliminate the Norman forces as a force in its entirety.
By Turn 10, it is possible to face down and defeat the enemy vanguard, main forces and some reinforcements. However, ET not only gave the Normans the ability to spam about 3 full legions every two turns (Hastings has 2 castles and one city), but also the ability to cheat even more by bringing in other special units (Noble Cav and Hussars). Not only that, I'm absolutely convinced that the RNG for restoring 5 morale points per attack is skewed against us despite the National Policy being active. My men suffered from low morale and desertion, and I hardly see the skill's effect compared to Conquest. Defeating each enemy commander, who has his own reinforced legion, does nothing.
Additionally, our starting troops are spread out, understrength, possibly outnumbered close to 8-1, and sorely lacking in special troops. It's not easy to fight special troops with common troops, doubly so when the enemy's are reinforced.
I cannot imagine spending 50-100 drums each, big and small, and still risking a loss because ET wanted players to be mowed down.

Finally won the Battle of Talas, with an S rank clear, as the historical winner: the Abbasid Caliphate. Did so without War Drums.
Time to upgrade my Tang units and get Subutai's weapon!

Finally won the Battle of Talas, with an S rank clear, as the historical winner: the Abbasid Caliphate. Did so without War Drums. Time to upgrade my Tang units and get Subutai's weapon! As the Tang, we are only able to deploy Tier 4 units in cities, Archers and Feudal Bow Archers, IIRC. Unlike the "cheats" given on the Abbasid side, we cannot spam Tang special units in castles. I believe the trigger is the number of Abbasid troops defeated by us because my recent failure had them turn on Turn 9 after I took out another Abbasid legion. What if we use a healer to assist our allies until too many Abbasid troops fall? Also, the Chaj commander only ventures out when enemies are near and hits back hard. Gao's active is recommended here. Can someone confirm these without using War Drums to win?

This random area has been taking some time huh, all the way from 2022, how goes it lads, been lurking about the forums for the couple of days looking at some things. I even got the desire to fill all the missing guides for challenges and missions for some games, but I have exams currently and it is a stressful and hectic year for me. How has this year treated all of you?

Well the issue lies in the fact that daily life has plenty of tasks and humans tend to forget things quickly as we are "sure" we will remember it although it ends up being stored in the local parts of the memory and it is thrown out of our conscious and difficult to dig in. A good attempt is to hold a to do list of a kind on your phone in your notes that you often try to reference after you finish a task or wonder what you need to do. Although for some smaller one time things you wish to remember a good method is what others already mentioned. If you have a string on your finger you will remember it when you look at it as it is on your body, and unlike the to-do lists or journals you cannot be away from it or "forget your hand." You don't need string you can do some more concealed items on yourself, but a good method is to perform classical conditioning on yourself via that item ie bracelet or necklace. I'd recommend hands as they are most accessible, used part of your body and most seen by yourself, but still remember that your body gets stimuli all over from it but we feel only some as we divert our focus to it, just like forget we wear glasses as we don't feel them unless we focus on it's stimuli, we will also forget the string on our finger. tl;dr reminders on hands as we see them often oureslves and it's a part of our body, to do list for multiple or longer tasks in a daily life, and classical conditioning
