I swear as a legal citizen of the PRC, it is the PRC, the People's Republic of China. Maybe people just call it different here. OR MAYBE THIS IS THE MANDELA EFFECT

Final Fantasy VII is the best-selling game in the series with over 12 million units sold. It is widely renowned as one of the most influential RPGs to date. Its memorable soundtrack, characters and story make it one of the most popular games in the series, a prominent feature in popular culture, and a frequent candidate for lists of the greatest games of all time. The popularity of the title has spawned a remake, titled simply Final Fantasy VII Remake, and a series of prequels, sequels and spinoffs titled the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Final Fantasy VII is a 1997 role-playing video game developed by Square for the PlayStation console. It is the seventh main installment in the Final Fantasy series. Published in Japan by Square, it was released in other regions by Sony Computer Entertainment and is the first in the main series with a PAL release. The game is the first in the series to use full motion video and 3D computer graphics, superimposing real-time 3D character models over pre-rendered CGI backgrounds. Final Fantasy VII introduced more widespread science fiction elements and a more realistic presentation, while the gameplay systems remained largely similar to previous entries, with the addition of new elements such as Materia, Limit Breaks, and new minigames. The staff of more than 100 had a combined development and marketing budget of around $80 million. Edge noted that Final Fantasy VII had come close to being an interactive movie in playable form, praising its combination of a complex story that went against Western graphic adventure trends and "excellently orchestrated chip music. The game is credited with allowing console role-playing games to gain mass-market appeal outside of Japan.Role-playing video games were a niche genre in North America up until Final Fantasy VII introduced the genre to a mainstream audience there, and it is the first main-line Final Fantasy game to have been released in Europe, where its success generated mainstream interest in Rpgs.

Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space is a free-to-play role-playing video game developed and published by Wright Flyer Studios. The game features the collaboration of writer Masato Kato and music composer Yasunori Mitsuda who both worked on Xenogears and the Chrono series of role-playing games. Another Eden involves time travel elements, where players explore different points in time. It was released for Android and iOS in Japan in April 2017 and worldwide in 2019, with a Microsoft Windows port released in 2021 and one for Nintendo Switch also under development. But it's also a heavy gacha game trying to press money out of youu. But you can stay f2p and play only with the free characters. You don't need any of the paid characters to be successful in the game. The price is luxurious and not low budget. Like gacha meaning gambling mechanism where only the fewest are lucky.

Sid Meiers Pirates
Pirates! (1987) Designed by Sid Meier, up to then a flight-simulator designer, and developed by Microprose, it originally ran on a large variety of personal computers (back when it was more than just "PC vs. MAC", and was hugely successful on all of them. One of the first games to use 16-color graphics on home computers, and a ground-breaker in the genre of action RPGs. Released for C64 also, the most popular pc of the 80s.
Pirates! Gold (1993): MicroProse developed this 256-color version for MS-DOS, Macintosh, Mega Drive/Genesis, Amiga CD32 and Windows 3.x featuring a MIDI score and mouse support (in MS-DOS and Windows versions).
Sid Meier's Pirates! (2004): Firaxis, direct successor of the now-defunct Microprose and headed by now-legendary designer Sid Meier (who designed the original game), decided to update the game for the 21st century. Sid Meier's Pirates! is a fully 3D experience, with many new features and updates that make the game smoother and overall even more enjoyable than the original. It brought many new fans to the genre, and was also released on both Consoles and Hand-Held Consoles. Most of the "Pirates!" fandom has accepted Sid Meier's Pirates! as the superior game, although some still play the original for various reasons.
Gameplay Pirates! is a single-player, open-world game. The player chooses a nationality at start as a privateer for the Spanish Empire, the Dutch Republic, the Kingdom of England, or the French colonial empire in the Caribbean. But during the game you can change your loyality everytime you want. The player chooses to attack enemy ships or towns, hunt pirates, seek buried treasure, rescue long-lost family members. As time goes on, it becomes more difficult to recruit crew members. As the player character ages, fighting becomes more difficult, and deteriorating health will eventually force the character into retirement. The game ends when the player retires, at which point they are given a position in their future life, from beggar to King's advisor, based on accumulated wealth, land, rank, marital status, and other accomplishments.
The era of play is choosable by the player at game-start. Choosing 1560 (the earliest choice) as the starting year places the player in the Caribbean almost devoid of influence but that of Spain, while 1680 (the latest choice) provides a mature Caribbean with many non-Spanish ccolonies. The other choices include 1600, 1620, 1640, and 1660, with the progressive effect of reducing Spanish dominance in favor of the other nations, some types of ships appearing more frequently in certain eras and less in others, and certain ship types being used near-exclusively by certain nations. Hand-eye coordination during the fencing sections, tactical ability during the land and sea combat phases, and strategic thinking, choosing a wife, to deciding when to divide up the plunder. After dividing plunder, you can choose to make a new expedition, if you are still young enough. After capturing a city, you can change the nationality of the city and get a promotion in rank from the govenor of that land.

Bruh can you refrain from necroing?
Stellaris - Civilization but in the Galaxy. I started to come back to it when I heard of the Espionage Expansion. I remember I subjugated all of humanity with Neko/Catgirl overlords and playing the Fallen Republic mod.
