The reason I am not using the Mamluks on Saladin is because he is still a great Cav Gen, and Attila can use Mamluks Just fine. As My current lineup, I field Attila with a Heavy Phanlax Pikeman and 2 Mamluks. Then I field Olga with a Heavy Phanlax Pikeman, Viking Raider, and Legion Brigade. Belisarius IMO is great on Cavalry, he has 3 fantastic skills, good stats, he can perform the job of Cavalry quite ably, especially because it is not quite the highest priority. Alfred, I tried him and he ended up being sorta like a Tunnel and that was it. He was worse than Saladin on Cavalry, worse than Olga and Aetius on infantry. Maybe it's just because I didn't have any good Cavalry units at the time? Maybe you're right. I'll switch Saladin to Mamluks and Belisarius can be my cav guy, because like I said, they aren't too much of a priority. No surprise about Alfred. He takes quite a bit of investment to get going since his starting title is the second lowest that anyone else has. He’s mostly just decent until you get his noble cav and his item going. |

SolidLight, what can you say about stats of generals in general? How important are they? If two generals have 20 points difference between them, how noticeable will this affect their damage?

Well, dang, I just got Khalid and saved before I saw that in the newest update the skill "Navigator" got a huge buff, with Guiscard's going from 4 to 25% extra damage.

Maybe they will change plain fighting from 5% to 25% one day  Seriously speaking I don't like this sudden change of plains. It can potentially influence the relative value of generals and we can't fire them. |
