In newest update (at least on Android), EW7 has the feature that allow you to get whatever unit/war gear fragments you have by dismantling unused fragments. So I think shop is the best place to spend medals (except buying Generals).
With reroll, 1000 medals spending on reset shop can give you :
10 Heraldry
10 Mirthril
10 Seal
At least 750 souls of war (about 2 lvl 5 fragments + 1 lvl 4 fragment + 1 lvl 3 fragment per)
10 Menecary order (with reroll, this is equivalent to 250 soul of war = 10 lvl 5 fragment)
Some war gear fragments
About the unit fragment, a lvl 6 fragment cost 200 soul of wars so 1000 medals give you 5 lvl 6 fragments.
With 1000 medals spending on shop, we have the 10 upgrade sets (285 + 285 +550 = 1120 medals), 5 lvl 6 fragments (1200 medals - the cost of 10 Knights Hospitaller fragments is 2400 medals).
It's time consuming and need tons of gold (yep, we can farm gold easily) but it's the most efficient way to spend medals IMO and we can use it to boost resources collecting speed a lot, especially when I don't think we can get lvl 6 fragment by recruit soon and need to spend for lower tier to reach the point to unlock it.

Any gold grinding methods for iOS? There’s no auto clicking system for my iphone, and It’s boring and time consuming with the East Anglia in Viking Conquest. And it’s worse when I have 10000 medals, but 1000 gold  |
