Idunno, the Teutons seem really good.. Wdym every unit at level 14 looks good. We definitely should expect more defence from melee cavalry, they have shields after all. So, their defence should be way higher than it is now.

War Axe Cav is great. I just want to say that. War Axe Cav counters Ranged Infantry while other Melee Cav counter Ranged Cav (the most annoying unit). Not that great. While we need Axe Cav for Ranged Inf when Axemen do that job better?

I agree that War Axe Cav is great...only in conquests when you can get it from castles. It's only good when you're provided it by the game and you should not invest in it. It's kinda like the decent generals that are useful in campaigns and conquests when you get them but are otherwise not worth it to get.

I am still not sure whether we should invest in decent mercenary units or only in the best ones. I don't see any use of them at all right now. It would make sense if we could hire them in campaigns here and there, but it seems that their level isn't affected at all by our investments in corresponding mercenary units in our HQ.

I personally recommend that you only train the ones you plan on using on your generals otherwise there's no point in doing so, their levels do carry over to campaign where you can potentially recruit them in the castle depending on the faction you're playing as but that is pretty situational and there's the fact that they don't carry over to conquest so overall I recommend you only train mercenaries that you plan on using unless you're doing it for the sake of triumphs and honor of soldier.

While we need Axe Cav for Ranged Inf when Axemen do that job better? I wouldn't say melee cav counters ranged cav, but its still the best matchup for it even tho ranged cav still outmatches it because ranged cav outmatches everything Charge cav would probably be a better matchup against ranged cav because of the better charge rate so it'll be able to get more damage in even without the boost
