It's unfortunate that plunder isn't the same like in other games where its a sort of "vampire" ability Is it a new skill? I haven’t had my game update yet. Though, dunno what’s the point to add another “Vampire” skill, we had Detain. And, do you have the Bonds of Theodora and Justinian, does it work everywhere? I’m considering to hire Justinian. What is a new skill? I was just referring how in other ET games where moves called plunder steal hp or gain hp through destroying an enemy unlike here where the unit just hits a lick It has the addition of also hurting the enemy's economy but that doesn't matter too much Also the new skill surrender is gonna be another kind of vampire skill, like 10x better than detain

It doesn’t make sense adding more skills when we had so many useless skills already.

Iustinian still remain a great aid in conquest if you’re willing to hot-road-hegemony.

I put a trick about ‘UNLIMITED HEALING in campaign mission’ in the second post. Let’s wait for the new update and I’m goin to edit the skills. Took this as an opportunity to read through the guide again and I would propose a few changes based on my recent experience with conquests: Using Strategist is not a good strategy. Usually, when playing as a small country, your cities will also be damaged during the first turns so Logistics Expert (lv2) gives better income when you're one tier below maximum compared to Strategist at maximum but with damaged cities. The problem which Strategist is for can also be solved with getting a few house upgrades. So I would give it white or even a red label because we will miss out on better skills.
Goodwill Ambassador can help considerably with saving turns when going for hegemony. It's a little bugged because you get the bonus once every time you give resources, meaning, the left option x3 will cost the same as the right x1 but you get the bonus 3 times compared to only once. I'd give it white or green and switch in a general in the last 1-2 turns if you have to become ally with an enemy or have ~0 with a neutral nation.
Tunneling lv4 is 35%

Consul skills in conquests are like: better to have them, but ok if you don’t; so it’s hard to assess those skills. Am I wrong or you had the new update already, that Logistics Expert can be upgraded to level 2? In my conquests, most of the time (even with big countries) I use Strategist first, then switch to Logistics Expert, then Goodwill Ambassador/Negotiation Expert to quickly finish. 1. The first belligerent level (101%-150% of max population) has -35% total resources; and the 0 HP city/castle give you 70% normal resources (-30%) of that city/castle only. I would choose to have 100% resources and buy more troops to expand/upgrade cities rather than upgrade houses. 2. Goodwill Ambassador is good when you have many resources, most of time it’s near the end of the conquest, you can choose to quickly finish using Negotiation Expert also, or spend some more turns annihilate all factions, not any different in gold received so I think it’s not important. 3. Consuls skills really help in speed run, otherwise I think we only need 2 of them: Logistics Expert and Strategist.

Did I understand correctly that the mobilization expert heals troops regardless of the damage caused to the city. Does this treatment take place even in the absence of houses?

Yeah, without houses, your city heal 5% of unit max HP each turn if that city’HP>50% (2% if city HP<50% and 1% if city HP<25%). With houses level 3, it will be 8%, 5% and 4% respectively. Mobilization Expert keeps it be 5% whatever City HP level, so it’s always 5% without houses and 8% with houses level 3

Ah no, there is no Logistics Expert lv2 but I see now that I deleted too much when rephrasing this sentence. I had Justinian with Logistics and Lobbyist lv2 (that's where this came from) and Simeon with Strategist and I find that having Strategist less profitable than having these two skills. If we could have a general with Strategist and Logistics, then this would be the clearly superior option.
I'm not too focused on speed running, but saving time is always an argument for me. That's why I value the build up of diplomatic relations with Justinian's passive or Theodora's active skill.
