I use Nelson in a lot of missions in which you dont need a navy. This is what gives him a key advantage over comms like Ushakov (who has 2 stars in art) and Treville (2 stars art) Collingwood is the only comm with a better chance than Nelson, but I still use Nelson as a backup to Moreau in those missions. Note that the Holy Roman Empire campaigns are full of ones that dont have a navy of any sort

I can, but Collingwood also has fireproof

I can, but Collingwood also has fireproof That's Collingwood's advantage on navy, but for army units, you can run away from fire easily.

Erich von Manstein , But why not have it on land troops? In my opinion, Fireproof is usefull A little, but your generals can run out of fire and (unless defending a city), they do

After the arrival of wangchengxy 's damage formula, things are going to change a lot. So I am going to write a new analysis. Group: Group1, the best. Group 2, also the good ones. Group 3, not very good, but still fine. Group 4, normal, but at least not "bad". Group 5: they are too bad to mention.Princesses:Lan: I believe she is the best cavalry in this whole game, no extra explainations required. Victoria: The strongest infantry and navy general under s/l. Isabela: Strong, and also the fastest artillery general, she is the only one who can run 5 hex on heavy/siege artillery. Sophia: The strongest fort smasher on artillery who is free, and she can make the highest damage theroretically.

Depends, I like to use Berthier instead of Lan. Golitsyn instead of Victoria as clean up. It is all depends on how you play.

But if you don't prefer any type of style of playing. then the four princess is probably the best.
