I finished 1 star country for 29 turns and got an S mark, which will be even weirder why I got an E mark when I played with Bretons and finished for 38 turns. Maybe the number of occupied cities is in question?  |

I think it is something to do with cloud save/load manipulation before a conquest is fully completed. I usually play conquests without any significant breaks, so I didn't have such problems at all.  Btw, it is not enough to take all Pirates' settlements, we have to find their ships too...   |

Yes, we have to destroy all the pirate ships, the last one avoids fighting and escapes, so he can be a pain in the as* sometimes. For opponents who appear in the 15th turn, it is enough to occupy all the cities, even though they do not have a capital, but we do not have to destroy all their units.

It is just a bug, sometimes you get the score of your previous conquest. Did you get an E on the conquest you played before?

What was Your best score guys?
As I understand it is 1* country as in previous games. What is the best one for the score?
My best is in Byzantine (Thuringia), but I have only completed Thuringia and Lombards.
Bretons and Vasco look as better choices. They are closer to Africa.

I almost did it with Ostrogoths. Had no enough money to bribe (ally) one last country.
I feel like it could also be possible with Visigoths if immediately send the gen on viking ship to capture Crytus.

I think that if Byzantine is forced to surrender fast enough it will provide enough funds. Bit it requires several gens like Narses and Lancelot to be focused on it. And sonw planning with cities upgrades. |
