Byzantine empire was my first conquest of the age and I had no idea about Avars or Arabs back then. And I completed Visigoths in 21 turns, the screen is on this page somewhere. hrabrimalitoster did it in 18 turns, so probably the most promising nation for completing it under 15 turns. But this result depends on luck to some extent, because Byzantine expedition keeps losing cities to pirates. I will try it. And what about Ostrogoths? I think that if Byzantine is forced to surrender fast enough it will provide enough funds. Bit it requires several gens like Narses and Lancelot to be focused on it. And sonw planning with cities upgrades. To defeat both Byzantine empire and expedition plus Pirates is a bit harsh winning condition for 15 turns, I think... |

Byzantine is better to be conquered and Expedition easily surrenders diplomatically after Cyrene and couple of cities are captured. |

stoic , The only country I managed to beat the conquest with before Mauri appearance  I haven't completed Byzantine Empire and Franks only

Breton, Rise of Byzantium conquest, for some reason I got an E. I don't think I was fast enough for this mark, I could have finished in 30 turns but just then the Avars appeared and postponed the final victory. Has anything similar happened to anyone else?  In earlier ET games I got an E (0 score) when I finished the game too quickly so it made sense to me, here it seems to me that something else is at stake. It is something strange with E rank. I have just noticed that my yesterday's run for E rank had score. It is not 0.  |
