In my shop I have 10 Genoese Shielded Crossbowmen cards for sale for 2100 medals (10 cards costs 2100 medals, so for 30 cards it would cost 6300 medals). I also have 10 Cataphract cards that cost 1800 medals for 10 (so 5400 medals for 30 cards).
I was wondering whether it is worth it to spend medals on any of these units in the shop (I'm F2P so I don't have that many medals right now).

If You don't need medals a can farm gold, You can spend 50 medals for the in-game shop reroll. This way You can buy much more enlistments per medal. But it requires to farm gold as well.

I think, only t6 fragments are worthy to be purchased here. All the rest we can get elsewhere, including regular shop.

As you mention t6 fragment. Once we unlock them _ like collect 30 fragments and unlock it, we can able to recruit them with card?

As you mention t6 fragment. Once we unlock them _ like collect 30 fragments and unlock it, we can able to recruit them with card? I think it depends on our progress we made in campaigns, not on anything else. Theoretically we should get access to Mamlukes and Templars when the next campaign "Burning crusade" is out. And, presumably, all remaining T6 units will be unlocked only late in the game.

Got that. So basically even you unlock it, you won't able to recruit it unless you reach a certain chapter in campaign...
So how about using soul of war to exchange it. So if I understand correctly, once you unlock a t6 unit, you can use soul of war to exchange for it?

Each unit can be useful (not at all, but let me go further) depending on the personal strategy. To me every special unit will have his personal general with unique bonuses (look at Matilda with legion brigade) and a tanky unit like Genoese crossbowmen might become strategically important, but for now they’re quite expensive. As someone said before, Ravenna’s crossbowmen are a cheaper and more effective alternative together with woad riders (or Mongolian archers in the future). As for now not every T6 units are better than T5-T4-etc. I don’t think conquistadors are any better than English longbowmen, for example (they are pretty scary indeed).

I have about 8000 medals right now (I haven't bought any generals yet). You can use T6 units even the ones you purchase from the shop with medals. I was wondering what I should do for my next general. I'm currently on the Macedonian Dynasty campaign so I've unlocked Alfred and Basil II. I was considering buying Alfred, Roland, Narses, and Simeon but I want to know who you think is a MUST for the end game.

The OBLIGATORY of the general is subject to change with any update, so this is guesswork. But in the current state of affairs, I would name among the f2p Alfred, Knut, Narzes (or other high-speed shooter), Justinian.

But if there's someone I could call an MVP in my team it would be Cnut the Great. Yet, if you bought Richard and have thus access to Templars via Raid it makes sense to take other cavalry generals into consideration, because many of them will profit from using Templars as well.
