I read the information about it last week in Discord, but there is no further discussion, and I am too lazy to verify or ask for it, but if you want you can test for it: "Fun background facts : in the game , units are represented as how many soldier they has ( infantry starts at 500 , elephant has 400 ) . But actually there’s a health system. Each type of unit has a different amount of hp in 1 soldier . This is why elephant is more tanky. Dev did confirm it
Real health of troop ( different from soldier size )
- Tier 1 units : 40
- Melee infantry , defense infantry , range infantry : 55
- Melee cavalry : 80
- Charge cavalry : 60
- Range cavalry : 60
- Camel rider : 85
- Camel archer and mamluk : 75
- Elephant : 100
Updated as of 8/23 to cover all units.

So elephants have to take double damage in order to lose a life compared to melee inf? Cool.

So I just check with the guys who posted it and ask whether he was serious or just a joke. He said devs did confirm there is a system like that but didn't give the exact number. So all numbers above are just for references. He probably did some testing to come up with that, but you should do your own if you want the references that you agree with. I am lazy so just take those numbers as granted

I dont know about elephant, but lvl 15 knight templar is sure damn tanky, 230 armor ftw

I believe I read a thread in here that someone did mention they test it, they leveled another unit to have same defense as elephant and elephant took less unit loss in the same situation. Someone else may able to post the direct link for that post for you
