Even with an item, all he is is an Archer with Forced March. Granted, that's pretty good, but not enough to justify being worse than Aetius on infantry even with his item while having a major infantry tilt to him.

He has 4 attack per round with with Belisarius bond and any calmness. Just use war drums for 4 best attack per turn.  |

A good Infantry/Ranged general,used to be pretty bad but now pretty good. Is it worth it to upgrade Garrison Spearmen for Narses? They seem really bad compared to all the other units (even maxed out) I would rather upgrade Legion Spearmen or Lombardy Pikemen... and just use those on Narses instead... Also side note: is there any way for F2P to get Swiss Halberdiers aside from in the medals shop? |

They seem really bad compared to all the other units (even maxed out) I would rather upgrade Legion Spearmen or Lombardy Pikemen... and just use those on Narses instead... Also side note: is there any way for F2P to get Swiss Halberdiers aside from in the medals shop? I don’t think it’s really worth it to use Garrison Spearmen even with his unique. You can check in yuanzhong post which pikeman is the best . As for Swiss Guards maybe we’ll get some fragments in future campaigns, but this is only a speculation. |

Maybe one should equip Narses with yellow or blue cuirass to make that lancer less squishy. |

It doesnt matter, you wont deploy him in campaing anyways, put him on defense infantry and two archer units and hes ready to go. Of course, in pair with Belisarius to get def infantry bond. Two of them are perfect for campaing.
