This is what i call the Khalid dilemma where a general if only count in the general itself they would be pretty good or at least decent,but if we look at other general then they are pretty much irrelevant or terrible.

Actually, I think that giving generals the fifth, so to say, "consul" skill was a pretty big mistake, imo. Just imagine that majority of generals had something useful instead. And it could change our evaluation of generals, to a certain extent, at least. I believe they should fix it. At the moment only a handful of generals is used as consuls anyway. So, keeping these skills is an obvious waste of space. In some previous ET games even best generals had trash skills (Murat in EW6, for example). But I can't recall a case when majority of generals had trash skills.

Unless you're desperate enough to rob your enemies of their iron (is it effective in the first place?) and fight on mountains quite frequently, Harald and Cnut are better fighters.
