Thank You! I was looking for a thread about this but I can't find it. I'm pretty sure I've seen it, maybe I'm blind. I was trying to figure out the damage of fire. It seems like it kinda deals -10 damage.

It seems like it kinda deals -10 damage.Β Fire damage decreases health by a certain percentage (I don't know the exact number). Anyway there are 2 or 3 types of fire: the greater the fire, the greater the damage.

If I'm gonna guess, possibly like 5 to 10%.

My rating for headquarter commander: Bugle 3 Formation 2 Mass Fire 3 Cavalry: Strike 4 Surprise 2 Artillery: Accurate 4 Explosive 2 Engineering 3 Navy: Steersman 2 Navigation 3 Not-Navy: Sailor 2.5 Universally: Geography 2 Fireproof 1 Leadership 3 Spy 3 City: Siege Master 2.5 Assault Art 2 Defense Art 1 PS: Land units on Troopships are still Inf/Cav/Art unit, so Navy-skills or Navy-items have no effect. Troopships have 2 water-movement and reduce the output by 25%. Coastal Fortress have no bonus against troopships - with Sailor/Carrier there is no difference if you attack then from sea or land. Is it better to have a General with Formation only or a General with Assault Art only? For me, I think the General with Formation can at least utilize its skill. On the other hand, the General with Assault Art is not trustworthy enough since it is highly inconsistent. But I'm still confused as the rankings of other people consider Assault Art better than Formation.

Also I just realized, Geography is kinda useless if you have War Horse. I thought that if a general have geography, it can use the 2 slots for 2 move items. But, it can only trigger 1 move item. Even if you have 2 move items, it will not increase further.

Assult Art gives max dmg - to achieve 90% of a max DMG is already so rare that AA gives a big boost. That somewhere 10-20% are assumed makes AA for Save/Load untill AA tiggers reasonable - I believe it is a pretty desperate tactic, and I doubt this is playable. I like to play the chess-mod (always AA) it helped to understand the dmg-counting. You can add two move items, they stack unill +4 - with 5 movement stars untill +9mov. But +9 wont help any of the uniits with the special bonus to move three hex more - no units for a top commander, especially cavalary: Guards cav (Ships/Forts +50%) or AC (Inf Cav 30-40%) is such high bonus compared to Heavy cav... In the plains of america there even areas where you don't need geography to use two movement items. If You use infantry commander, two large boots are usefull.

Thank You for a perfect explanation! Sorry if I ask a lot of questions as I was making an excel for My Impression of the Generals (according to specialization). I did calculation based on their stars and skills. What surprised me is that the result states that Suvorov and Lannes are equal. But some players' general ranking states that Lannes is excellent while Suvorov is average or below average.
