Not even close to 5 star great stats and okay skills but hes a letdown just like in ew5 Rather than specializing in one he chooses to be diverse which is made worse by the fact that its fragile melee infantry and absolute garbo melee cav all that glitters is not gold
However he does have that 6 star drip so I'll give him that

To be fair, he has the best privilege in the game, and he IS both fast and very diverse. His Hospitallers are amazing. His melee infantry are fine, generally okay, as a general he gets a weak 5 stars, as a pack he is better than Richard.

I wonder if his privilege gets buffed like Saladin's.

Which units should he have besides one Knights Hospitaller? One Varangian Guard and one Knights Templar perhaps?

He is potentially the fastest general in the game. Chinese melee infantry with mountain and forest movement in addition to melee Cavalry units together with his unique item and set of gems for Rapid March will make him super fast. Situational, yes, but could be useful.

No, Aetius is the fastest one because of Rapid march + Forced march at the same time Aetius is Inf general, his Force March is lower than Charlemagne (the only Forced March item boosts cav ability). Charlemagne can get Rapid March by gems inserted on his unique weapon (gem combination also boost cav gen that fit Charlemagne perfectly)

Of course You could give him Cavalry but I was speaking about the potentially fastest general without damaging to his fighting ability. Charlemagne also has Forced march and rapid march is obtainable as I said with gems.

Plus, Charlemagne has an excellent bond with Roland, and Aetius has none Potentially he can reach 13 speed with his legion.

But what do You need Boyars for? One additional movement point is definetely worse than forest and mountain movement provided by Chinese infantry. Moreover Boyars are not anyhow affected by his skills, just stats. Not that great combo.

I think that Hospitaliers are "a must" in his legion. There is no point in making a good melee cavalry general a mediocre charge cavalry general. I think that Hospitaliers, Kheshig and that Chinese Infantry "Modao battalion" is the most optimal choice. But I think it is possible to replace Modao with Varangians too.

With Chinese infantry, Kheshigs and Hospitaliers, 14 movement points, and with forced March 2 points movement for mosy tile, only river, swamp, desert and snow 3 movement points, maybe it's also good combo.

Agreed, it will be a pain to upgrade chinese units.
