I think that Hospitaliers are "a must" in his legion. There is no point in making a good melee cavalry general a mediocre charge cavalry general. I think that Hospitaliers, Kheshig and that Chinese Infantry "Modao battalion" is the most optimal choice. But I think it is possible to replace Modao with Varangians too. Hengdao is better between 2 Chinese Infs. They have 20% resistance to Archer legion buff |

I'd rather use Hengdao just to get the melee infantry boost in addition to Jungle-Mountain movement combo. Varangians give only Jungle movement. |
