With this post, I, John Marston, son of Odin, becomes the being with the highest post count in this forum. Celebrate grandly my subjects! For this is once in a lifetime moment! Wahoo!!! It feels good to be the person with the highest post count here. It's been an amazing journey with you all and I look forward to be with you all in the coming future. But, TBH post count feels just like another number after a while. I've been here for 18 months and though it looks like a long time, these 18 months went by quickly. Of course, I'm going to say the same old thing which literally everyone says - I didn't expect to come this far when I joined. Thank you all for being a part of my journey.  Also, I think that Saltin has 2 accounts and adding the post counts of both of them, it'd be more than 8500 I think. I also do hope to hit the 10,000 posts mark. So, see you there |

Congrats John Marston, very impressive! Btw, I think that the post-related ranking is not demanding at all. Only 700 posts to reach Darth Vader? It should be at least 2000 or 3000. Also who got to decide the name of the various ranks? Saltin? (Just out of curiosity) |

I think at one point you were massively chatting in the random thread or/and doing a lot of RP and that boosted your count by a lot. That's great fun As far as my own count,the one you see on my avatar is the total count,I just transferred the number of posts from my old account to the new one, i do same (if requested) for other people too if there is a need to restart for whatever reason. Very glad you chose EFC as one of your pleasant internet stops bud, we are fairly slow going but (I like to think) relaxed and easygoing and fun community of gamers. |

The other much smaller 700 Vader number was picked with the average non-hardcore user in mind. Most of the EFC membership only posts casually and usually only like for a few game questions and that's it. Many of our daily visitors never post anything at all, they just like to read what others are writing. Of course they are welcome to post (or not post) however they like but to try to encourage the average forum user to post more we got the ranks easier to achieve. |

Well, I was thinking that the number of posts is more of a little game for the habitués of the forum, so we might add more ranks, maybe also ranks with references like "Sgt. Hartman" or "Lt. colonel Kilgore". But if the average users are encouraged to be more active like this, then it's absolutely fine for me. |

There should be a rank at, idunno, 3000 posts titled "Mountbatten." Just because at that point you've moved beyond Marshal into the Best Admiral 3ver. |

The next two ranks should definitely be Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious and finally Darth Plagueis the Wise, since currently the highest one is Darth Vader.
