I am new here. And have been following tips for ET games here. Special tanks to Gerd von Rundstead.
Does anybody knows if Varangians can be further upgraded? Also, i have leftover varangian fragments but I feel unsure about what to do with them.

Special tanks to Gerd von Rundstead. Gerd von Rundstedt likes infantry generals, he doesn't need your tanks... Welcome to the forum! (Sorry for the stupid joke, I couldn't resist...)

I bought majority of fragments from the coin shop. Just make sure you have 45k coins every time you refresh it If you persistent enough (save/load while refreshing the shop) - you can get up to 3 fragments of Varangians per day. Even more if you are willing to spend medals to refresh the shop.

F2P right stoic?
Mine are lvl11. What I've been doing is just stack medals and whenever a 50% sale shows up, buy a lot of x10. Scrap those troops you won't use for parts and exchange them for Varangian (or whichever). Luckily they're relatively cheap for being top tier, costing 125 instead of 180 or 200. I think its a better strategy, as gold is not something I (and so, others too I'd bet) cannot afford to throw around.

F2P right stoic? He didn't say that he spent medals to refresh the shop. He said that it's an option. Just with the cloud save you can reroll the content of the shop for free until you get varangians 3 times a day. And with the souls of war obtained from scrapping other fragments, it's not too hard to max one particular unit.

Varagian is really f2p friendly units. We can max it easily just with shop rerolling. I'm keeping lvl 15 Varagian and 190 its fragments (90% of them are from gold shop).

This amount of medals may create a wrong impression I still have to buy Alexander Nevsky, Alexios, Martel etc. I don't have time at the moment to play new special chapters, so no rush for me. And blueberry is right - you don't have to spend additional 50 medals, it is just an option that is always there. And a good option too, because we get access to other wanted items such as metal bars, mercenary orders etc.
