The stats of boyar Calvary are about the same as noble Calvary and till now I didn't find it attractive after save and load trial. I do not suggest it and will continue to upgrade my lv 9 noble Calvary. What are people's opinion about it?

It seems pretty mediocre. Its legion ability is not that great and it's stats like you said are abou5 as good as a Noble Cav's. I can't see the purpose in collecting the fragments to unlock it let alone upgrade. It's just replaceable with the Noble Cav, and it is essentially just a Norman Knight with slightly better stats.

The ability is decent. You can have the same mobility as melee cav as long as you have 3 legions within your army.

Potentially we have a charging cavalry with mobility 11 instead of 10. It is interesting to experiment with different compositions with Boyars in the legion. But from practical point of view I think it will be extremely difficult to collect significant number of fragments in any observable future.

You can get many shards of mercenary units in the new Territory Shop as well

It's easily replaceable by the noble cavalry, knights templar and others. No need getting them if you have eothe rone

The only reason to invest in this unit - if you plan to use Alexander Nevsky a lot. You’ll apparently get his unique weapon, and to get the boost , you’ll need to have 1 unit in stack. But when you have lvl 9 Noble and Templars, you’ll want Boyat to be at certain advanced level Conclusion: no need if you are quite advanced with game

Very good if you have lvl 3 Rhinoceros, pretty good if you have lvl 3 Constantin's Hammer or Orban's Cannon, doesn't particularly stand out otherwise. The most reliable damage dealing charge cavs are still Templar and Cataphract.

They should give us 3/4 coins each victory to let us amass a decent surplus..

i now also saw templars for 16 coins yesterday. so i am still torn between items and units. buying them for legion buff might be more useful than boyar

At this stage of the game I have a feeling that items for our best generals are a top priority in comparison to fragments. We can to à certain extent replace any unit with another decent one, but we have only limited options for improving our generals.

I recently started playing this game. What charge cavalry to collect? I haven't upgraded the cavalry yet. But I have already 30 Cataphracts and 30 Noble cavalry from missions. However, I have Nevsky. Is it worth getting into the Boyar cavalry?

Is it worth getting into the Boyar cavalry? I don't think there is a correct answer. All options are viable. You may even be more ambitious and aim for getting Templars. Noble cavalry is the easiest to upgrade because there are fragments available for purchase in our coin shop. I personally prefer Cataphracts because they only cost 80 war souls per fragment. A bargain in my opinion. Probably not the best unit out there but they do fine what charge cavalry should do.

Noble cavalery and catapracts are not The most powerfull units in The game but are easy to collect fragments .
