Personally I got the main gang
Alfred Roland Cnut Basil El Cid Justinian
Belisarius and Aetius so which gen should I get oh and also which mercs to grind for

Get Justinian, you'll be thankful to have him for Conquests.
Teutonic Knights and Knights Hospitalier are solid options if you cant have Templars. I don't have Charlemagne nor Barbarossa and have both troops unlocked. But y, without getting Barbarossa, we cannot get them from raids (makes them harder to upgrade), but you can still get some Teutonic Knights from Frederick, which is not a bad gen, its my next gen to take.
