As I understand you invested heavily in Templars... It is a great unit, but you won't go far with low levels. You have a good team of generals and you don't need more of them at the moment. Try to dig a bit deeper. Choose 3-4 units you use most of the time and upgrade them as high as you can. Don't upgrade any other troops meantime. Just concentrate all your efforts on upgrading your best troops.

If you unlocked Templars already don't overextend your resources. Forget about Noble cavalry and Cataphracts for the time being and use all your war souls to upgrade Templars. Buy fragments of Templars in the Territory shop. And try to get at least 1 fragment of Templars per 20 mercenary orders. Fragments of Varangians are for sale in our regular shop. Don't miss any opportunity to buy them. Choose one unit of archers as well and you should be fine. Just upgrade these 3 units dismantling other T1-T4 fragments if needed. Don't dismantle T6-5 fragments though. You may need them eventually. Just be realistic. You don't use majority of your troops most of the time or don't use them at all. Dismantle those fragments without regrets. The chances that you will use them one day are slim. It is like we are cluttering our home  Everyone of us has things we never use, hoping that one day they will come in handy. But believe me they won't Just ask yourself: why on earth do I keep fragments of Camel riders? Am I planning to use them extensively in my team? If the answer is "no" - just dismantle them all without regrets even if you unlocked them already. If you see that you go in a wrong direction - the best way is to stop and to turn back and not to continue your movement simply because you have made so much efforts in the past  |

Just make sure that the rest of fragments is useful too. In your case that means they include Varangians and Ravenna... |
