I lack a good Melee cavalry unit. I do have noble cavalry, Conquistadors, Varangians, and some solid counter infantry units. In which unit should I invest my war souls in?

Templars are not exactly a Melee cavalry. But if we speak only about Melee cavalry I would say that Teutons have several advantages. 1. We get 20 fragments for completing Barbarossa's campaign. There are 10 fragments more somewhere, so we unlock them without any effort (unlike these new Kheshig guys). 2. We can raid the fragments. It is a slow process but drop by drop we can collect a solid number of fragments eventually. 3. They have excellent stats and a very solid ability. 4. Their fragments are often available in the Territory shop. All in all I think it is a very safe bet. But for generals like Alfred, Lancelot and Alexios War Elephants are a very good choice as well.

I put Templars because they are the best cavalry unit. And you can only get them through War souls. Teutons can be farmed through Barbarossa too, so I was thinking should I invest my war souls in Templars or Teutons (which are farmable, but also much more needed)

If you feel that your current charge cavalry isn't good enough - go for Templars. Melee cavalry is in the bad shape so far, so Teutons can fill in the gaps. Besides, Melee cavalry is the best unit to collaborate with Archers.

Well I am F2P, and I do posses Frederick. But I can't pass his hero legend to save my life . I am blocked at El Cid's , Baldwin's , Alexios hero legends , just try to Make your other units more powerfull , so your will win any level of this game .

You can also get 10 Teutons from the hard mode of Burning Crusade.
