I can't understand why do we "need" to open and (what is more important and difficult) to upgrade all T6 units. Let's compare lvl 15 Templars and Cataphracts (all copyrights of images belong to yuanzhong  )   Speed is identical HPs are identical Charge probability 90 vs. 85 Attack is very close to each other. So the only significant difference is defence - 36 points. BUT this is at lvl 15. I assume at lvl 9-10 Templars have more or less same stats as Cataphracts lvl 15. Yet it is many times more simple to get Cataphracts lvl 15 than Templars lvl 10. So unlocking T6 units may be an exciting process but we definitely don't "need" it to advance through the game. Ok. But for now, we have only Alexander Nevsky and Alfred the Great, with unique weapon for charge cavalry, this units IMO we need upgrade this units first for 15 lvl. Alfred need 1 melee cavalry, kheshig IMO, Alexander of course can use cataphracts, they are cheaper then Templars. PS. IMO we need first to upgrade boyars, conquistadors, noble cavs, garrison spearmens, viking raiders, Varangians, hussars but we can't now, war elephants, frank axemans... And for future lombardy halberdiers, Mongolian riders.  Alfred can get 1 dumboo as well. No Keshig needed. |

Might seem strange, but today I was talking with a Korean gamer regarding a new possible legion for Aetius, composed by 1 keshig and 2 Mamluks (or 1 of them as woad). It turned out he could cross the map like MarkAnthony from GCR. |

I prefer 13 movement points, 1 noble, 1 boyars, 1 kheshig, good choice as for me. Might seem strange, but today I was talking with a Korean gamer regarding a new possible legion for Aetius, composed by 1 keshig and 2 Mamluks (or 1 of them as woad). It turned out he could cross the map like MarkAnthony from GCR. Kheshig+boyars+Mongolian riders with rhinoceros give 13 movement points and -2 cost of attack, and general with desperate wager near, -3 cost of attack, you can 5 attack per turn, and general with calmness near. Very fast rush and deadly brigade, of course you need a lot war drums for this rush, if goal worth this. PS. But IMO in later game, Aetius will be fast antitank general, with 2 halberdiers, and 1 Kheshig he must keep your frontline safety, because 108 infantry points it's not a joke for tanks. |
