It is interesting whether someone is using Lancelot as a cavalry general. He has 14% damage bonus as a cavalry man (melee or charge) in comparison to an archer. And with all these gems around he should be a decent cavalry general with multiple attacks. That was my first line of thinking, to use at least one melee cav since he has rapid march:
di/mi cc mc -> for better movement in terrain
cc cc mc -> to make better use of capability points
this way he'll be a little Alfred and if we focus on melee cav units to make use of the newly changed "-5 morale when detour" mechanic in combination with elephants and camels, then he'll be a little version of Alexios.
Lancelot really is the archetypal jack of all trades /master of none but with built in desperate wager.
