Yep, Subutai with horse archers can easily outperforms El Cid in certain circumstances. Mongolian horse archers are probably the best mid-tier unit in the game. Many things will depend on his skills though. As I recall, in his silver tier version he had both Master Shooter and Ranged Tactician. His active skill was the same as Nur ad-Din has now, but maybe they will give him something new instead. His last skill was a terrain bonus (I don't recall which one). In general, a very promising combination.

Master of Archery 3, Ranged Tactician 3, Master Shooter 3 and Mountain Fighting. Pretty good, especially if he gets a personal weapon that raises his skills to lv4.

The problem is that Mongolian Archers will be #1 in the legion with other archers (Malmuks or Conquistadors) and they die at first. Having this, 2 Malmuks + Woad Rider are better than 2 Malmuks + 1 Mongolian; because Mongolian will be #1 in the legion, but Woad Rider is #3.

I haven't unlocked Mongolian Archers yet and, probably, positions in a legion can play a role to a certain extent, but, I believe, we have to evaluate archers by their offensive potential in the first place. If my archers are attacked by serious enemies - they are in big troubles anyway.

If use them with charge cavalry they will be on right place, for Alfred for example, Kheshig, Noble cavalry, Mongolian riders + Rhinoceros, 12 movement speed, attack cost 4, if Belisarius near with Alfred, attack cost 3.

I found this on ET Facebook . I think these two guys are Timur and Edward the First. We have a picture of Edward They temporarily removed portrait of Timur, but it was something like this, but in oriental type of crown My assumption is though that they will remove this randomized picture and replace it with something more canonical

Lol, that's a pain for those who spend for 50k medals to get an average cav gen with a trash unit (including me )
