The hordes I'm guessing are the Mongols from Belarus, Ottoman? or Mongols from the Balkans, and possibly the Barbary States from North Africa.

Nowadays belarussian territory was part of the Grand duchy of Lituania, Russia and Samogitia. That state wasn't a tributary of the Golden Horde. It was in Union with Poland most fo the time it existed. |

A great disappointment that the map is not that large as in the "Age of Iron". But since it is indeed a conquest of the 15th century (The Calmar union was formed in 1397) we won't see any Mongols in Europe, neither from Belarus, nor from anywhere else On the other hand, it is a shame they excluded great historic events such as wars between Timur and Golden Horde, a war between Timur and Ottomans, Wars between Eastern Russian principalities and Golden Horde and Ottoman expansion. I think Ottomans will appear as a "special" event, but they definitely should be one of the major forces on the map, not a "special event". |
