Has anybody transferred Two Handed Swordsmen into Royal Swordsmen yet? I would like to hear about your experiences.
Is it really worth 50 Mercenaries Orders? How often will the Golden Armor effect be applied? Does the morale value need to be absolutely at the highest point for it to work? In that case I guess it won't work very often...

It depends on how often You use infantry gens and what are the gens. In case infantry gens You predominantly use are outburst/charge oriented gens You won't see a lot of difference if one of tge charging Varangian is replaced with this unit. In other cases, yes it is better to use one unit. But short answer is: if You feel You desperately need Mercenary order for something else do not transfer. It looks good on paper. In practice the difference is small. And yes, max morale is a must. |

Actually they should have given Two-handed swordsmen a chance to charge. It would be historical accurately. Enough to recall "Forlorn hope" units of the 30 years War. Then this transfer could be really good for such generals as Hardrada or El Cid.

Does Olgas Item effect the "Royal Swordsman" or only the Two handed Version? So we need new Special items for the changed Units? Otherwise the original Version will Always do more dmg.

Otherwise the original Version will Always do more dmg. the item only applies to the original. no, because there is no special items for changed units, maybe they add it later on. add original plus the changed unit. you need the original for the bonus. and the bonus applies to the legion not to the unit. |

Have I missed something or it is just a delusion? Damage increase is now 35%, but I remember it was something like 20%.
