He dismissed criticisms and heaped praise on himself while ignoring the huge contributions to his victories provided by others. His air force got wiped out in minutes due to his short sightedness, and he shelled Seoul for absolutely no reason. 1. That's really more of a character flaw than a command flaw. 2. To be fair, absolutely nobody expected Pearl Harbor, and we had no idea about the efficacy of long-range carrier-based attacks. 3. In hindsight there was no reason. There may have been troops there, which we now now was not the case. 1. But exactly this 'personal flaw' leads to be Overrated2. Perl Harbour was absolutely expected - target and date were pretty well known; from different sources to both intelligences of the British and the US - but it was officially ignored. With just a few months interception for a new navy-version. all communication of the axis was decrypted with The Bomb(s). The Bomb is the polnish contribution to win WW2.

As a military commander, it is irrelevant for if he is overrated or not. 2. I mean, it's entirely possible that FDR and other political leaders knew about Pearl Harbor, but the military commandders were never notified.

And for this question, in my point of view, Manfred von Richthofen's argumentation fits perfect. 2) I just crashed in your " To be fair, absolutely nobody expected Pearl Harbor," this was wartime propaganda and is historical not correcct.

Agree to disagree. 2. Heh, I believed FDR knew about Pearl Harbor back in the 1920s, I am certainly not influenced by wartime propaganda! (also did you know that all of the middle east used WMDs on 9/11)

No the Attack of the 11th of September was paid partly by the US as Military help and black by the CIA (difficult to prove exactly, most docs are still classified). That the Democratic President committed suicide later the day, seems correct. Even almost 50 years later Chile still suffers from this attack on democracy.

I really think that there is a distinct possibility that the US Government did 9/11 (most likely for oil), but it almost feels disrespectful to those who died in it to espouse such possibilities, and also I don't wanna be banned by Saltin for it. But I do think it is something that the government would and could do.

"The deadly double" US-advertisement (nov 42) : Primary I wanted to reply to your signature: In correct german you can say: Wieviel Wehr macht die Wehrmacht, wenn die Wehrmacht Wehr macht. And its still the wordplay as Wehr-Macht=Defense-Force and macht=doing.PS more german: Anschluss means to join or to connect, not union. (austria-germanny) A german Statist is a supernumerary or dummy.
