First, I am new here!
Now on the meat of my question. Currently My lineup consist of Merveldt, Bülow, Picton, Drummond, Sidney, Jourdan and York. I have one slot left. I am mainly using Drummond as my artillery general, Jourdan as either a infantry or artillery general, Sidney as my navy, York (upgraded to 4 stars) as a infantry general and more rarely Merveldt on cavalry. Yes I did spend some money on this game, 25$ on gift cards and 15 bucks by myself. I have a good amount of emblems, what should I do, who should I buy, who should I merge, ect?
Also Poniatowski is in my store, he looks good and i am considering buying him, so if you have any opinion on him, pls let me know.

Secondly: Our members wangchengxy and Erich von Manstein have figured out the damage formula, and it shows that Mobility, Ballistics, and Infantry Tactics are practically worthless skills. Third: Poniatowski is boss, but his big brother Lannes (who costs 8 emblems) is stronger for infantry and (Since fire damage is negligible) almost as strong on other units. Fourth: Once you buy whatever gen you choose (I'm about to make a thread on the best of each tier) regroup most of your old guys (Jourdan, Drummond, Sidney, and Picton have juice, the others don't) onto the new ones. You should also look into princesses, many of whom rival tier-3 generals (but remember that you'll need a very strong lineup to get the last 2). Hope I helped!

I was thinking of buying Poni, fuse York and Merveldt with him to get a boost in infantry and movement, then go out and buy a good solid cavalry general. Would this be viable?

Frederick, you should get Poniatowski,he has useful skills that allow him to stay in battle longer. And for Calvalry? If you want to go cheap,Gouvion. If you can chime in 6 emblems, get Lasalle when he is available. But it's your choice.

Don't get Poniatowski if you can get me. I'm special. BUY ME. I have to do self advertisement to pay back Augereau

And don't get Lasalle imo. You can get similars for medals if you regroup them (Lan, Golitsyn, Berthier). Get Murat, he costs 6 emblems

Are you saying Poniatowski and Lasalle are pathetic generals?

Franz von Hipper , how many emblems do you have? Your amount of emblems will make a big difference.

Don't get Poniatowski if you can get me. I'm special. BUY ME. I have to do self advertisement to pay back Augereau I'm pretty confused right now. Because even though Lannes doesn't need a drum on infantry, he still needs one on other units. So I'm considering Poniatowski more profitable, since Poniatowski+drum= Lannes on infantry> Lannes on others.

I always believe that Dumouriez is better, he is cheaper, faster, same firepower, and is a trainer.

I would say that Poniatowski is pretty normal. Moreau, Murat and Dombrowski are some great 6 emblems generals.
