If someone uses Mongolian Raiders in a legion combo, 2 yellow and 1 red gems are the best choice because they give a bonus for Mongolian Raiders and it's quite easy to make that combo because they only need lv2 gems. And one more thing, the more I use gems, the more I think the red gem is the best, I use 3 lvl3 red gems on Saladin + Book of Tactics and he deals monstrous damage, more than Timur who has 170 RC.

kingbutawl, I tested this combination, it seems to me that 3 red and 3 yellow gems are the best combination. I don't have 6 yellow lvl3, so I can't test it unfortunately.    Your Timur is fierce! But I can’t compare our 2 legions since you have better units than mine. I will copy your configuration and make a test to prove you are right. Thanks for the answer  |

Since red gems are so uncommon and relatively hard to get and since they are used to acquire such excellent skills for cavalry and infantry as Cavalry tactician and Infantry tactician (and Rapid march as well), I think the best practical choice for archers is to use all yellow gems..

If Timur reach 212 archers capability , we don't ned to use Red gems on him , and If this happens to all archers generals we will have generals with infantry tactician , cavalery tactician and forced march , like You said . |

Your logic is correct and there is nothing to add or take away. The game forces us to use a large number of generals, so I think it's best to have as many strong generals as possible, rather than making 2 or 3 OPs while the rest suffer from lack of resources. Since I didn't know what to do with the green gems because they don't fit into most good combos, I decided to make defensive monsters from Belisirius  |

kingbutawl, I found 6 yellow gems, I forgot that I gave some to El Cid, funny me. This is what Timur's results look like with 6 yellow gems    And these are the results with 6 red gems.    The best combination seems to be 3 yellow, 3 red gems As for now hrabrimalitoster has discovered the best proven built for Timur. It’s sad green gems doesn’t perform as good as the red ones… maybe easytech should increase the damage reduction percentage to compensate… |
