I find it to be quite tiring. Although we have to accept repetition as part of grinding, there is something about this mode that made it feel worse.
1. It feels like it drags on longer than Teritory mode. This is more pronounced given that the White Flag Movement does occasionally help reduce the difficulty of the battle and thus, lower the duration.
2. It feels less inviting than Territory mode. Territory mode can test one's mind when we overcome tougher opposition or feel pleasant when we can let the AI fight weak opponents. We don't get such a privilege or luxury in Expedition mode.
3. Feels more draining and repetitive than Territory mode. 5 "battles" a day against an average of 6 2/3 "battles" a day. Not to mention the easy steamrolls which other players provide (knowingly or unwittingly).
4. I feel more discouraged knowing that I'd have to fight 20 and preferably win battles every three days to maximise my gain as opposed to fighting however long and far I want to in either Treasure mode.

up to this point i did clear them all. will not continue to clear them once my RL problems pick up in a month bc very time intensive. very disappointed what expedition turned out to be. thought it would be more gcr style missions.

Expedition so boring. I don't even bother finishing it because I just get so bored after like the 15th guy. The rewards are fine, as it is another source of raid tickets, but this territory season gives 17 of those. The 5 daily raid battles can go by quickly while expedition just takes forever. Also you have to wait 3 days for it to reset, so another time grind after those 3 days.

Since I have nothing more to do in EW7 at the moment, Expeditions and Territory battles are all that is left. I don't even open my mercenary orders because I am waiting for Imperial Bow Cavalry and Conquistadors. Quote boring, tbh...

I personally donβt skip a single expedition, since itβs the only cheap way to get medals/gems and some rare eagle coins. Expedition is the only reason to use our secondary generals

its just territory mode albeit a longer version.
its good to get free resources for f2p. yes, its boring but so is farming/grinding coins and HoC points.
my target is to get pass coin reward in normal for the double rewards event as i have weak units.

Is this to be understood as you believe/hope that IBC and conquistadors will be possible (or easier if already possible) through mercenary orders? Or that you just don't collect what we can get now?

Well, I don't have Templars. I don't dismantle them, I simply don't have enough fragments And the same is true for Mamlukes. I have enough fragments to upgrade my Cataphracts and Varangians to level 17 presumably. My guess is that Cataphracts lvl 17 will be close to Templars lvl 15 in many respects. And I doubt that any f2p player has Templars lvl 15. So, perhaps, my decision to concentrate my efforts on upgrading Cataphracts was a good one. So, I don't really need to open my mercenary orders now.

And he sent to Spartans terms of surrender. He wrote: "if we take your city, your wives will be raped, if we take your city, your children will be sold into slavery, if we take your city, we will destroy it to the ground" and so on. Then he waited for Spartans' reply. There was only one word in it: "If"
