At least we can get some of our investments back in Paris. I am planning to use Heihachiro and, probably, Beowulf, so their personal weapons is a good enough motivation to upgrade buildings and to play. In EW7 they encourage us to build wonders and castles without any rewards whatsoever. Just for the sake of "fun", and, truth be told, the "fun" is of dubious quality at best. Those personal weapons do seem to be the only real rewards to me, and I haven't settled on my team yet so may not need/want them. My fear is that one can spend many hours playing the castle in order to earn resources, which you then spend on upgrading the castle in order to remain competitive just to earn more resources which you then spend on upgrading the castle, etc etc

Arminius of England. Is there a leaderboard or something or just the possibility that one of your missions will be against my team? Only a small chance ti find each other. I'm Nabuchadnezzar of Akkad. I left my generals a bit spread out so they can be taken out one by one or in small groups. If the names are unique then I may have played your team already, it seems familiar. You can place your troops for Siege?

Yes, but only within the perimeter of the original walls (you can also move the walls, place towers, traps and forest tiles)

Unfortunately, they implemented it in other games too. In theory, on paper, we spend resources and upgrade our buildings to participate in interesting battles. On practice, however, we face monotonous and repetitive battles and these are far from being funny.

Sorry, I didn't read carefully. No, for siege you would just see how I placed everything for my castle, if you attacked me.

It is always nice to have company on a new adventure Cheers 🍻 I am planning to be more ambitious this time, uniting under one banner free and blue generals and best generals I have ever played with: Nobunaga, Caesar, Attila. I haven't yet decided what to do with Artillery. Arguably we need almost all of them for these Ust-Nera missions. How is your team coming on? I'm curious because only purchasing (for medals) Caesar has allowed me to spend quite a lot on skills (Caesar 7 Healing, 5 Braveness; Mocte 7 H, 10 Leadership; Barb 6 Commander, 10 L; Saladin 5 Logistics) and upgrade a few others for the Arena (Joan, Pachi, Beo, & Suri to 4*), but when I thought of your team obviously those 3 alone cost >7k so I wondered in what order you'd buy them and when, and which skills to upgrade and when? Knowing how highly you rate him, I'm guessing Attila first and max out his Braveness? Then Caesar then Nobby? Or perhaps Nobby first so you have someone with Leadership?

I decided to dig wide rather than deep this time. I already purchased 3 generals for medals and upgraded several free/coin generals I have Mocte with lvl 6 Leadership and since I purchased Nobunaga only recently he needs some polishing. Btw, I am too sitting on the fence when we speak about Alex.

I have just taken the plunge with Alex and he's now at 4*, although I haven't taken him for a test drive yet

I would rather delay this decision until I have enough funds. Most likely my next two purchases will be Peter and Nelson.

The only time I bought him I was already in Industrial.

I haven't played any of Discovery campaigns yet but in Empire he's pretty solid. I don't feel any necessity to increase his aura at this stage of the game though.

Just to wrap up the earlier convo I got Heihachiro's Western Sabre today and I think that's me done with Paris, at least for a while.
I can't see anything else worth the time to play for.
