What are you guys currently running on your archer generals?
I have both Timur and Saladin with Mongolian Raiders (MR), Imperial Bow Cavalry (IBC) and Mamkluks. But with my still fairly low MR I'm considering going back to my lvl 16 woad (mostly for the Chase). Since these guys don't have forced march the extra mobility from Mongolian Raiders seems unnecessary.
Narses is using Garrison Spearmen, IBC and MR. Here the extra mobility has me choosing the Raiders over Mamkluks and Woad. IBC seem like a must within the current archer meta.
El Cid: Varangians, Conquistators (personally I'm using Mamluks here because I don't even have these unlocked), IBC
Don't have him but my Atilla would probably be something like: MR, Ravenna, IBC Keshig, Ravenna, IBC Again having that unit for the extra mobility.
Is the forced march via Gems worth the invest on e.g. Timur, Saladin or El Cid?
Interested in your general opinions on the archer meta.
How do some of the other not mentioned Generals hold up in the meta? What units deserve more love from me?

Forced March is certainly OP on El Cid because his unit has 9 movement thanks to Conquistadores. Good luck with 162 Red Gems though...
Timur and Saladin both have 10 movement, feels enough to me. Don't bother with them with Rapid March.

I think that we can experiment in Territory mode. But in campaigns, when we can deploy only one "special guest" general with our best troops - they should literally be our "best" troops. Most likely lvl 8-10 Mongolian Raiders will easily die in new campaigns and Epic battles. I don't know it for sure, though, just an assumption. I have some doubts about Woad Raiders too, because they can't dodge attacks as often as their mounted counterparts.

If 18-20 I think it will be difficult to beat it with lvl 10 units in a legion.
