Hi there,
I've go over 20k medals and it's hard to choose what to do...
I can buy 100 fragments of jet black(got lvl 0 but want them in future) or 100 templars(and upgrade to lvl 18, close to 19), or over 1k mercenary orders or even spend part of it to get some eagle coins...

Much depends upon your dedication and patience. -1000 scrolls, if obsessively rerolled, could provide you the maximum amount of units’ fragments in terms of quality and quantity. -Regarding the jetblacks/ templars I’d choose the last one in your case, since lvl18 templars are better than an entry-level jetblack. However I’d invest in IBC only  |

I like to purchase silver coins at the moment. In a Territory shop there are fragments I am personally looking for (IBC, Clibanarii, Boyars, War Elephants, Cataphracts, Mongolian Raiders, Teutonic Knights) plus gems.

I don’t know if developers ever understand this when hiding juicy unique items behind a wall in POH. |

I've 4.3k now. Althought the Tang troops are enticing, I've yet to unlock any.
I'm close to unlocking Mamluk Archers, Kheshigs, Knights Templars, Conquistadors and Hengdao Batallion.
However, I have focused heavily on my Noble Cav and I've low-levelled Mongolian Raiders.
Nearing the 15-fragment milestone are the Black Armoured Guards and Janissaries.
Also, any new or impossible to unlock units should have close to or 0 fragments, such as Jet Black Cav and Imperial Bow Cav.
I suspect that, strategically speaking, perhaps investing in Mongolian Raiders is ideal for those who can afford to lose their Woad Raiders and unlocking Mamluk Archers is good for replacing Ravenna Crossbowmen to improve survivability, given the OP Dodge effect.

Was working hard to get 20k+ again (poh 51 helped me a lot) and having dilemma of if i should unlock Chinese units now with discount or again buy scroll's.
Who know if jba cav and zhuge became more available in incoming update, like modao.

I just used about 10k medals to buy discounted scrolls. Unlocked few rare units, like Imperial bow cavalry, and upgraded many others. Most of my better units are very low level, so I rather went for scrolls than trying to start to collect some spesific unit from scraps.
Could've of course get some souls by dismantling, but I didn't want to do that (not yet at least) becouse you only get little bit of the actual value when dismantling and I don't really know what to invest souls into (other than maybe varangians and templars, since they already have decent levels). At least upgrading all units gets me forward in HoS.

Whup blew 10k medals on jb. My issue that they are less than level 9. Now I have no more medals for buying discounted merc orders, but I also don't want to since they have the tendency to get filled up with scottish long spearmen, an average of 4 per roll of 10.

Just buy 200+ gems. It will boost your dmg much more than lvl of your units for the same amount of medals.

The only thing I think that's worth to spend medals now is gems but not too necessary. We can farm medals and mercenary scroll now, so why spending medals for it? Before I usually bought 400 - 500 scrolls each event, but now I don't need to do that and my number of scrolls still increase from 6xx to 11xx |
