In Switzerland it's pretty useful for us as 180 days it rains and 180 days it snows. But living in Florida I learned that there's sun 370 days a year

Yeah I don't vacation to Florida a lot but you do receive a heck of a lot more snow and rain then Illinois.

I'm moving to Florida pretty soon for my wife's new job. Farther and farther from my beloved homeland of Ohio. I'm presently on GA/TN border, so it's like 6 additional hours for the Christmas trip to the family back home on the top of the 7.5 hours already.

Oh and before anyone comment about the benefits of moving to Florida... the particular location that we're moving into... it's almost 2 hours away from the beach.

Whenever you can, you should visit St.Augustine. Beaches aren't as packed and the town is rich in history(Oldest European settlement in America). There's even an awesome fort to check out.

We have Fort Pickens in the Pensacola area. I visited there once and I liked that one. It's also a national park which means almost nobody goes there for the beachfront right there where Fort Pickens is. My personal favorite beach (unfortunately somewhat packed) would be Clearwater Beach on Clearwater Island in Tampa Bay area.

In NorCal, it's never Beach season so there are no crowds
