I don't know how to add a picture here, but they changed Black Princes priviledge. If I got it right, it seems crazy good, and his price hasn't changed.
Apparently we can now add 1 gem to blue items, 2 to purple and 3 to golden, with his priviledge? Can anyone confirm? I find it hard to believe they'd do that?
edit: red it again and no additional slot for unique items, tho. But seems really good still, esp for that price.

That is correct, I get two slot for purple instead of one if I have Black Prince for example including one blue slot.

I really like this new privilege. After the introduction of gems, the blue equipment felt kinda meh. Now all skill buffing Equipment can have gems. Unfair to F2P Players maybe, but with the current territory mode IT doesnt matter. I only try to Farm Low point enemys. If there would bei an increase of the loot for harder enemeys, the mode could be nice. Now hard enemys doesnt pay Off the time you need to defeat.

But now we can add two-gem skills to purple and 3-gem skills to golden, which means we can have three additional skills at best. And two gems in total per general with any blue+ items is very good. Helps a lot in campaign and any other modes too, territory is easy anyway.

And the extra slot works for all generals? Or only items worn by himself?

Probably, it’s the best general in the game at the moment. 2 gold items with 3 gems each may give +20% additional dmg now (10% for each unit) FOR EACH GENERAL. it’s a real game change… all old mixed units setups have to be changed now…

The gap between f2p and iap players is larger than ever!
They also make the franks epic farm extremely hard and 1500 gold coin for winning. Used to be 15000. Revert back to version before update.

As i have seen for now, you can use the +10% damage skill with gems only once for a single general. For example, for Richard, you put +10% damage Knights Templar gems on his unique item and on the other gold equipment it doesn't appear that skill.

You can't even have +10% damage for templars, +5% already requires lvl4 gems.
Though I don't even see the point of using these skills for many gens? Though it works with whole legion even if there is just one of this unit (templar in this case), it is only 5% and the combination often requires one bad gem.
For example Robert the Bruce, you can add infantry tactician with lvl3 gems to him (same 5%), and with max gems you can have it lvl2 (10%) should you have those one day 😅. And all gems suit him very well, and the boost doesn't wear off if that particular unit dies (as I believe is the case with "unit damage increased" skills).
Maybe for Richard, yes, since his unit damage skill requires good gems and he already has cavalry tactician and polearm mastery.

Right now you may pick the right combination of units for almost any general to add additionally missed skills for example: Item 1: lvl2 defense infantry expert/melee infantry expert/infantry tactical (there are no generals in the game with all 3 of them at the same time) Item 2 + Item 3: +10% dmg to lvl3-4 units or +5%dmg for lvl 5-6 units. For example my Su Dingfang has +8% dmg because of Melee infantry expert lvl 2, +5%dmg because of hengdao combination, 10% dmg because of Axemen combination. +23% additional dmg in total.

I believe unit damage buffs are stackable, because the damage increase from the general's specific unit from his unique weapon stacks with the unit's damage increase by gems. Also, I have Dingfang equiped with his unique equipment and 2 gold items with gem combos that buff Modao and in every item's description the buff is shown. Currently, Dingfang's gem configuration is (dmg dec lvl 5, dmg dec lvl 5, morale lvl 5) And 2x(dmg dec lvl5, dmg dec lvl 5, morale lvl 4) but in the near future he is going to have all gems lvl 5. Then he will have +30% damage which is equivalent to 6 red lvl 5 gems but in addition he has +30% dmg dec and +60 morale.(also because of helmet from the north and unique item dmg decrease is crazy). In addition Genghis and Subutai benefit massively because with 9 high level cav and arch gems the deal massive dmg with active(my genghis deals high 900 dmg and his gems aren't all lvl 5. When they are 4 digit dmg guaranteed). So in general, I believe dmg increase gems got debuffed because of combos like the one I described with dingfang and for most generals 3x unit dmg buff gem combos is the way to go, unless we are talking about Genghis Subtai or Jebe. Do you agree? Do you find there is a better way to use gems?
