Apologies for the historical nitpick, but it's worth noting that the Gulag camps weren't really a vast untapped resource, nor were they extermination camps equivalent to Nazi concentration camps, like people in the west usually think. They were in fact a fairly well organized and effective labor force, employed notably in logging, construction and mining, but also in many other professions. If you use them to free up workers for the arms industry, it will have other impacts on your economy. I know their usage wasn't much different than standard prison labor, and many countries in the West also used forced labor at the time, which most people don't know like you've said. Well, even countries like the US still actively use prison labor. Heavy politics isn't allowed in the forum, so I won't go into that, but even from a purely historical perspective, it's nice to learn more about the USSR. And thanks for the further information, I appreciate it. As for the rest, that's a fair objection, so I guess I'll cancel my previous post. |

We would hire nationalist Burmese guides to aid our troops in the Burma campaign. We would begin an offensive to secure the city of Sittwe and make it our headquarter. The army arrives and we would attempt to assault the small city. 2-6 for defeat, 7 for inconclusive battle, 8-12 for victory
We are forced to retreat from the city, but due to the defeat being minor we can stay in the area and set up an occupied zone.

Hello! It seems like no one is interested in NATO. It must be unworthy but I fear to say many of us have joined lately on the nato side and with long US absence situation will turn more worse.
Rather I would prefer to declare neutrality like us and prepare a strong alliance

Only for AlphaDon't worry, despite having played for a long time, I still make mistakes sometimes, which is okay, because we're all here to help each other if we ever make one. As long as you follow the rules in the first of this thread, you won't have any problems  As for your first question, it was a rule used in the past. We often need to send a few posts in a row (secret messages, army moves, production orders etc), and Saltin (the admin of the forum) confirmed that we can do it when it's necessary. So, feel free to post as many post as you need. As long as it's not spam, it's allowed in RPs The current members of the WTO are me (Soviet Union), Vietnam and Mongolia. Our enemy, Nato, consists of the US, Britain, India, Pakistan and the Swedish government in exile (I had to invade Sweden due to them being anti-communist). China is currently neutral. As for the UK, I'd say we keep a friendly but cautious relationship for now, so you can accept it, but don't get too friendly either, we need to stay cautious. Although we'll need to eventually fight them as the socialist powers, meanwhile we should gain time to prepare for the upcoming war by producing more units. As to when we'll strike, we'll need talk with Vietnam to make a plan. Note: Just as a reminder, when you tag someone, the said person receives a notification, so you shouldn't tag your enemy in a secret message unless you specifically want to see them. For example, in your message, you could just say "Captain" instead of tagging him. Since he's a member of Nato, he shouldn't see our messages unless we want them to. If you wish to do so, you can edit your message to change it. It's no big deal, so don't worry, it's just a friendly tip |

This allows us to suffer minimal casualties while managing to inflict a decent number of them on the enemy. Only for Kliment Jefremovitš Vorošilov and AlphaEast Germany has informed me that they want to unify Germany, which I fully support. But before doing something, we need to remember that doing that might upset the UK, so we first need to determine whether we want to confront the British Empire now. We can do it now before they expect it, or we can try and gain time while completing our war preparations such as military production.
Either way, we shall prevail in the end with Germany finally united once again, we just need to determine our strategy.
Also, the fascist Swedish government in exile is trying to colonize Burma, just next your homeland. I'd say we should do something about it. |

The proletariat of South Asia won't sit idly by while you try to do steal their freedom. They've already defeated both the British Empire and the French Empire, and Sweden will be the next imperialist power to go down.
