Makes you wonder how they could lose with that amount of gold... stupid AI. the AI never learns how to focus on one thing, and try to use all available assets to something, also overprotective some cities. I once played to the point of guaranteed-victory and have 9999 in everything, then let autoplay out, and in that one turn my gold runs down to 0! In Germany 1943 case, maybe because they don't focus enough on UK/USSR and spawn units to protect cities like Cologne/Munich/Berlin, which are out of range from enemy airstrikes anyway. imo I was speaking rhetorically. You're definitely correct about the failure to focus on one singular objective then move on to another objective in a coherent strategy. Unless a game AI is scripted specifically, pretty much almost ALL programmers fails to provide their AIs that lethal focus. Almost every single strategy game that pits you against an AI comes down to the idea that if you wishes to do well in higher difficulty levels, you are required to utilize a smaller force concreted in a single focus against a numerically superior foe that just spreads out and doesn't quite focus well. Civ3, RoN, EU4 etc... almost all are gulity of that.
