I had the same problem in begin. If your tanks get more movement you can set it next to it since then it isnt hittable.. But mostly for these kinda enemie defence units I use my airforce.
radiofuhrerbunker: can someone provide link of WC4 Glory mod. That doesn't crash when using airforce and has no sound issue fixed. Feels kinda boring to play without BGM and SFX
