I just started playing and my first general is Kinoshita Hideyoshi, is he a good starting general? haven't done my entire 40 rolls. should I restart and if I do can you get your rewards still for preregistered?

Hideyoshi is pretty solid. He’s probably not the best infantry general in the game, but he’s a pretty high tier one despite his suspect skillset and being 100% guaranteed is a quality only him, Maeda Keiji and IAPs (if you’re doing that) has in this game.
Also he’s basically our main boy through the game.

Actually, I have a feeling that Infantry generals in general are not up to the standards of Cavalry and ranged generals. I had some hopes for Kuroda, but the guy has a basic Valor level as a green general. Other than that active skills of majority of Infantry generals are unimaginative, imo. Shimazu is probably the best damage dealer out of all Infantry generals that I have. And I have fragments of most Infantry generals. I had some hopes for these guys, but in comparison to Shimazu they hit like wet blankets   Out of top Infantry generals I don't have fragments of this guy, so can't test his power  |

I agree he’s solid if he had his full set(mainly full upgrade horse and 4 pieces bonus is like compensated for lack of passive infantry dmg skill) and on Elite Samurai, Mines is 4 star he hit like a truck and fast especially bypass everything in his way. He help me speedrun tenkabito and conquest(combo with Takeda and Oda).  |

Shimazu, for example, in comparison has close to 100. So, we need a weapon, an artifact and a mount with flat Valor points to remedy this. Not an easy nut to crack... |

Their special unit is the Akazanoe, but I don't quite understand how to measure the base damage of the generals yet.
Shima Sakon is also an infantryman, but his abilities are like Kenyo's, it depends a lot on the morale and the situation he is in.

It’s tough to be an infantry general in this game. They have to be at Hideyoshi’s level or better in order to actually cut it and be useful, because his damage output himself is not that great without significant investment, and the only guys that are that are Nobutsuna and Yoshihiro. It’s basically those three guys and a huge tier below with guys that can’t really hack it. Munetoshi would have been great if his active wasn’t hot garbage. |

I have all 3 off them and Nobutsuna is the best in my opinion, his aktiv Skill is the best i have so far, Munetoshi is only good at hold Castles or meat shild, Sandayn hits ok and this Skill is also just ok but his spezial Unit is very easy to get, so at the Start off the game he is good. |

Kanbee better make his low valor stat worth it because he right now is my weakest purple at ... 3 stars I have some thoughts of how to equip him 3 items with Valor as basic attribute. Interesting to see whether it will work in the long run    |

Kanbee is good at the last rank with the ability of a tactical expert. There are a lot of artifacts in the game, which increases the probability of a repeat attack by up to 80%.
In addition, he is one of the few infantrymen with active skills working at a distance. There is water in almost every battle.
In addition, he has an archer friend with the ability to burn out those who find themselves in the forest. Using them together gives both attack bonuses.
