shoot update, my day is ruined. too much high cost to get them. why would i even need them? the game already finish. no new campaign or conquest just difficulty set to high.
try to fight the nightmare, thanks to war drums i finish 1st battle in this ridiculous update.

It comes with a new game mechanic and 1 new resource just for that mechanic: Formation and chess set, respectively. What's disgusting is how ET once again tried to turn this into a War Drum per second game. My Robert the Bruce with lvl 15 Lombardy, 20 red Vikings, and 19 Varangian were beat up by a common Fritigern with insignificant strength, lvl 20 troops, war gear and a high-lvl formations. Robert's no slouch with close to 190 inf points, but how is he getting beaten by mobs on campaign 1 lvl 1 on Nightmare while he's the reason I'm stuck on Tekewsbury on Normal? The only prescription to counter one formation is with another. However, all 3 enemies use different formations, and the 3 antidotes are locked by progress and blocked by these monsters. I reiterated the same thing and dropped more details in the Updates thread. |

No new content to justify another grinding spiral (to unlock and upgrade formation (next way to increase battle power). Gems, talents - now formation. Nothing, zero efforts in terms of new mechanics. Formation is just another boost nothing else. Additional upgrade of the unit’s level is overpriced and provides marginal stats’ increase Update is a complete garbage. |

or Dont upgrade, spend 1 or 2 war drums for the same effect as all those upgrades would do, but costing nothing...
If 1 or 2 drums why not 3 and 4, "i mean after all i didnt upgrade anything to adjust to the new difficulty" so might as well use more
But once i give up the No-war-drum restrictions there just IS NO GAME:
Might as well spend several thousands and just finish the game. Get the resouces to finally upgrade what i would have wanted to upgrade earlier.
Since its not actually playing if you use war drums freely.. might as well just NOT play.

Awesome! What a great game! If my younger self could look at me now. Bro.
Obviously there should be a middle ground somewhere with some joy playing the game. whatever.
