Last three look good, not sure about the starting two I will think tho, I have to mash a lot of countries! Really? I thought the first one definitely has merit. Who wants to draw three specks on east side of Saudi Arabia and have to somehow indicate takeovers and other events with those specks? As for the last one, I'm not sure if they should be merged or left separate, btw. Just a consideration for people to discuss here.

well in the case given I'd say Iran plus Central Asia and India look more good as an alliance, but the neutral and hostile Pakistan can be an issue Oh yeah... back to this topic, you still haven't actually answered my question about the example of a player-owned nation absorbing a neighbor who belongs to the same side but is uncontrolled. I don't mean like USA suddenly absorb all of Mexico, that's way too overpowered to absorb an entire country of many providences. Is it possible to absorb neighbors one providence at a time or something?

I know this point looks silly but it is... Also you said previously (if I remember correctly) about countries merging, well I can do that but I need the popular vote here, or if portales makes an event in which all three/two of your/anyone else's countries get merged into one then that's another solution to the thing

I could do events, but the actual player countries need to both take over the enemy areas needed to form this larger nation and get the support of their allies or merge with them.

I suppose we can just have automatic military passage through our side to get to the enemy for that. At some rare occasion, it would be nice to have a rare event that allows a player to absorb a NPC neighbor for the sake of the NATO - WTO war. I like your solution, Napoleon Bonaparte. It's still a pity that I can't gobble up the little cute WTO nations in Asia and become a world power. (Yes yes, I do play Civ3 waaaay too much and I bet Jean Lannes feels the same way in EU4)

As for the five merger ideas that I brought up, of course, I agree about checking with what people think of it.

Completely different topic... page 1 needs updating for players taking up countries. And also I noticed something funny in the European section, there's a missing Albania. O.O I didn't see that until now.

I found some couple of more missing nations, this time in Africa. South Africa---NATO (includes Letosho and Swaziland) Mozambique---WTO (includes Malawi) Those five countries aren't there in the list yet. And Uganda isn't aligned in the list, it just says Uganda. I suppose it should be NATO even though it has a long history of brutal regimes but it has been quasi-supportative of the British Commonwealth, so that's NATO.

But remember to much countries can make the game really crazy... nope, since most will be empty and free to occupy by the enemy side so eventually countries will decrease and big countries will be left in the game Y'know, survival of the fittest
