Perhapa spilt Vienna into two providences and make Austria playable? Austria has been France's rival in the contest over the Italian peninsula. Question, what exactly does the tech tree should look like? I'm looking through this forum, nothing concrete atm. I wonder if to create a colony, it would require a tech which only the premier colonizers would already start with to simulate the early lead France, Portugal, Spain, and England has over the reat of the Europe.

I'm looking through this forum, nothing concrete atm. techs have always been a big shake-y usually, in the start we had some, then we upgraded them, then got a real tree but still we keep working on it to make it realistic enough

How about Sardinia-Piedmont I think spilting Italy into five pieces doesn't make sense when France or Prussia is two pieces each or Spain as an example too. 3 or 4 is a reasonable approximate version of real life 1480 Italy.
