If you take closer look at the table you will find out, that all items of each category (weapon, armor, mount, etc.) are concerning statts more or less the same. The main difference between the items are the skills and level 9 improvements.

The are only few exceptions

the 3 healing items
treasure items. For treasure you can decide which second stat besides intelligence you want to improve.

Even with skills and lvl 9 improvements there are little surprises.

With armor you can decide which damage type you want to reduce.
And the mastery skills are mostly with weapons (except archery, the only boost there is on a mount

There is one notable exception: cavalry damage can be boosted from 3 different categories. This will let Maeda Keiji hit like a truck, even as f2p.

All in all I find the variants offered by the equipment quite disappointing.

I honestly think Hyakuman Isshin might be better spent on Yoshihisa than Motonari actually. Getting more Forced Marches seems more useful than boosting that AoE. And every skill skill it boosts revolves around survivability and there’s already another sword that boosts the strongest survivability skill Motonari has and he’s the only worthwhile guy with it.

But I actually haven’t even bothered maxing out Motonari since I really don’t feel like I need Plundering Provision.

My Date has his own one eye set with 4 or 3 elements, 4 when we need take care Oda in princess mission, 3 plus first aid in conquests.
