I wonder if the blueprints are reuseable. The way the tab look, it feels like a consumable item.
Are these forging items available in Challenge Conquest?

Is that possible to forge the same item more than once?

The fact that the plans for green equipment reappeared in my coin store suggests that: (1) The plans will be consumed on use, and (2) We can probably forge as many as we want, provided that we have the resources.
I checked some challenge conquest rewards. They offer 1-2 of one type of forging material, for a clear within the 60-70 points range (cannot remember the exact number). This applies to any conquest, regardless of * rating.
Yew costs 270 medals after the 10% discount. If I wanted to forge a gold equipment that costs 95 yew (e.g. Matchlock which costs 259,200 coins, 160 mithril, 95 yew, 42 ironsand, and 1 matchlock plan), I would need to buy 10*10 yew = 100 yew, which means 10 *270 medals = 2,700 medals. 2,700 medals / 90 medals (for a set of 10 eagle coins) = 30 sets of 10 eagle coins = 300 eagle coins. This is for one material. Factor in the cost of ironsand and the plan, we might approach or exceed the cost in eagle coins.
This assumes that we have 160 mithrils and the coins as well, or will grind for them.
Of course, one can play the House of Hauteville (claims to recommend: lvl 16). But, I'd rather play the easier Rise of the Ottoman (recommended: lvl 16) or the Hundred Years' War campaigns (both recommended: lvl 15).
Note: This last comment is in terms of fun / enjoyment, compared to the challenges presented and artificial difficulty opposing us.

there's also a new paid tier available in battle - for 2.99 you can get an extra bunch o stuff, most of which look to be forging materials. Looks like one payment gets you that month only.

Ok, it’s getting more clear now. Forging is probably an additional option to get yellow items. Previous limitations for 1-2 pieces of each item may be now avoided by forging them (for example to have 5 Matchlocks). Righ now it’s still not clear how easy will be to get recipes for the yellow item, as I cas see the first one is available in a new advanced (IAP) reward for battles.
There are few good items for cavalry and infantry generals which were not available before in any shop.. I don’t really understand the need of them for IAP players… the only reasonable hope is that one day there will be multiplayer or some global rating for territory battles. I don’t know about other players, but with my IAP account where I have only few (most needed) generals I can finish any nightmare campaign so easy that I try to complete it without wardrams or with different set of generals etc.. And these new items cannot even boost my Timur or Saladin because thy are equipped with matchlocks and 15% dmg books already.

I have a different point of view with this new feature. It's not for players that have many IAPs, this feature - which we can craft items - is for f2p players, or few IAPs (1-2). Playing this game, it's time or money, for players like me that spend 5-15 minutes each day to complete daily quest and expeditions/territory, it's just keep all things from daily quest, and a good plan to achieve what you can. I have Richard only, he has everything he needs to be great, but other generals without the Advance Reward unlock, can't reach their full potential. Now, I should have a plan, which general needs which item to be great, focus on some item only, find the way, count the time and cost/resources, compare to another... It's fun, but... my time...

I can agree that it is not such a bad thing if we acquire all necessary materials naturally as we progress. But I have my doubts that this process will be as painless as we could hope for. Quite likely blueprints of gold tier weapons are IAP items (or extremely hard to get items, at the very least). That makes the remaining resources for the forge useless junk, because the chain is no stronger than its weakest link. Besides, I question the attributes and buffs of some of these items. Let's take this one as an example The only general I know with Silence is William the Bad. But, hey, two of his skills are for commanding Infantry and none for commanding cavalry. And as bad as he is, he isn't a badass general by any standards. His active skill isn't bad but that is practically all. So, why on earth they decided to give a buff to silence remains a mystery to me. I don't recognize the half of skills these new weapons buff. That means these are new skills and quite likely only a general or two have them.

I have found first Purple tier blueprint in the Territory shop. 120 eagle coins. I wonder how much will they ask for top tier blueprints (if there will be any in this shop).

I used the save/load mechanic to restart the shop 100 times with 50 medals and no gold items appeared, so we won't find them there. I hope that not all gold items will be like that gold shield that can be bought in Territory Battles.

But ITS not very usefull because you need purple Helm for it and there Is only one purple Helm in the game which Is not available for now as it seems. Imperial Spired Helmet needs 257500 gold, 160Mithril, 95 ironsands, 27 cowhide, and diagram of Imperial Spired Helmet. Ironsands for forging may be the new chainmail for talents. i.e. limited sources.

I am pretty sure that you will need to sacrifice purple Helm besides all above Said ingredients to forge that Golden Helm. But thats just like my opinion Man 🙂

Yes, you need one lower-level item of the same category for forging. In the case of the gold imperial spired helmet, that's the purple barbute helmet, which again needs to be crafted using a blue knight helmet.
