Hey gang, By now you lucky IOS fan had plenty of practice and are semi-pro's for sure (or t least know more than the rest of us starting) so what do you think the best way to first progress in world conqueror 3?
Be specific, like play campaign so and so till you reach X point then play conquest mode till HQ is level Y is reached, then hurry and buy Z general at Q academy ect..
What countries are best to play when you first start? What wonder should we focus in and build right away?
What generals are great that we should prioritize, which academy? Assume no real money so no premium generals ect..
Let's hear your advices for the new comers!

hey. I played conquest first than campaign as LVL 4. I won grand part of France with Germany army in 1939. about generals you must be specific choosing generals. if you want artillery ones, take from Peking Academy. war tanks, Berlin Academy. Infantry, San Francisco and Turin ect. ect.
Best country(ies) to play in 1939, for me (I'm LVL 30 now) are UK, IJA/N(Japan), USSR and Germany. In 1943 I must recommend U.S and these countries. 1950, PRC, USSR, U.S and U.K 1960, same countries up here.
thx, gooby

I'm going to post the same stuff that I had said before, seeing as this advice is pretty much useful for myself and I AM starting out in WC3 by comparison to the majority of the players on this site. Please note that I noticed conquest mode may be so long and grueling, but it is really easier to gain medals from the first two eras than the campaign simply because you can afford some mistakes and the AI will typically make far worse mistakes. You only have to consistently outplay instead of making a crazy precise set of perfect moves. One other bad thing about the campaign is that if you do fail to get a mission done perfectly, you don't get 50 medals, and even if later you got all 3 stars after getting 2 stars, you miss out 1 medal permanently and forever. 33 medals rewarded for 2 stars then 16 medals rewarded for getting it up to 3rd star equals 49 medals. After you get 3 medals, the mission in campaign stops giving any medals and almost nothing in resources. So it's logical to me to wait on the campaign until later when I have at least 4 solid generals, then I can go over the campaign and rush in earning medals from it, getting perfect 3 stars each. Try to get your important techs up to at least 3 or 4 lvls. Inf, tank, art, and most importantly, air (lvl 3 gives range 7 instead of 6, I believe). Navy - optional but helpful Fortifications - each upgrade is more of a downgrade because of increasing costs to build them: AVOID. And avoid playing useless countries on the allied side for 1939 like Egypt or India (but they're great for 1943 on the flip side). Any conquest that seems to be real difficult, this goes without saying, but it needs to be said: 3 star countries are obviously easier than 1 star countries. And you can win the war all by yourself, easier with the right country. And if you need resources such as industry or energy try playing conquests with small nation. If it's too difficult, try a larger country but be sure to pick the "correct side" for a conquest. Or the easier side, really. A large country on the technically "wrong" side is actually harder than a little country on the "right" side. 1939 - Axis 1943 - Allied european-war-4.boards.net/thread/866/attention-new-players-generalsThis link is also EXTREMELY informative on starting out in WC3 and picking out the right generals. Once you get the ball rolling, it's a lot easier afterwards and you can be more flexible to pick out whatever generals you prefer to suit your style. (Plus troop techs sure doesn't hurt to have upgraded in the long-term)

This is just my personal opinion, but I started out in EW4 and WC3 with a one star country in conquest. This is because most one start country locate near neutral country, which you can mow down for quick resource, and "most" one star countries can avoid getting in direct combat or getting a large amount of air bombardment from major countries. Again, this may not apply to all new players.
