So is an ion cannon worth having yes or no i currenly have it and it seems very weak to me.Mine is level 2.

Well it is OP. It does 400 damage at max lvl. With unlimited resources go for it.

Only the Strategic bomber or the plane on the bottom can carry nukes. Click the nuke symbol then click on the nuke you are using. Then do what you do with a normal bombing run. Try it yourself in Tutorial 3 since they give a good explanation there,

Ion cannon isn't worth it. I think Manstein put it in...5th place? Maybe? Either way, I agree with this low ranking. It's better to spend the medals/resources elsewhere.

If you already built the wonder, maybe I'd say upgrade it until it dealts a little over 100 damage so it can be of use (instead of doing some scratch damage), didn't cost that much, but after that the cost skyrocketed.
If you haven't built the wonder, ignore it.
Also, that's in case of a regular, no-UnlimitedResources player.
Note that it does 550 damage at its finest, capable of taking out almostly anything, save for alien bases.

It is really what you prefer. Some people want to spend medals getting an OP space gun.
While others decide they want a sharp line of generals.
Some even want to focus on getting wonders after getting the neccisary generals. Just spending the 1000 medals Mary gives you is enough for your Ion cannon even better you can use those extras for spending on resources or generals.
