Right? Bismarck, what does determine the tech level of a newcomer? A newcomer can either have all of the tech of another nation of the same culture if nearby, or start from scratch. If rebelling or feudalism, have the tech from original country. |

Since you aren't close enough to a civilization you need to start at rock bottom, but for the sake of Alpha, you can start with ONE tech choice in the tribal age that doesn't have tech prerequisites. |

Can I change my location to Scandanavia then? I would suggest maybe central asia and keep positive relations with deso, so you can grab unoccupied land without fear of being hit by a superpower. |

For being picky I have an idea: You begin with the Native American Technology Group (We can instead call it the Native American/Aboriginal Tech Tree) and you gain all the tech i currently have. Thats my idea as for what should happen. |
