One explanation could be the progress in the campaign, or maybe the amount of years you got even though I doubt that

If she at least 4 nobility im sure she will at least has 8 or 9 after i regroup her with marmont. I found a good way to get nobility. Play Austria 1815 and put your general on the armoured car. Then take the 3 Serbian fields with a single move and then cancel the move. Do it over and over again until you're at nobility 10

And for rank-grinding, French-allied 1806 is good, since eventually the coalition forms a mass of weak infantry in Germany. I got a cav general from 54 to 74 rank there in a normal Switzerland conquest without s/l

I got a cav general from 54 to 74 rank there in a normal Switzerland conquest without s/l I justed used a very slow Algeria 1809 and by turn 50 Europe was full of Russian, Prussian, Austrian, and British soldiers. My Golitsyn went from 60 health to 98 health

Kill the coastal artillery, militia and light cav and make sure Tripolitania remains neutral until the Egyptian heavy cav leaves. and there are 3 fields for your light infantry to walk by.
